"I'm having my best day yet!"​

This is how Leo, my Mom’s childhood friend who recently passed away, would answer whenever someone asked him how he was doing. I don’t know whether he led a charmed life or not. I suspect it was filled with the ups and downs that we all experience across a lifetime. What I do know is that Leo was always smiling. And I know that, whether we declare that we’re having a good day or a bad day, we’re probably right.
